Bug Description

Please backport irrlicht 1.7.3+dfsg1-1 (universe) from quantal to precise.

Reason for the backport:
========================
irrlicht >= 1.7.3 is required in order to backport supertuxkart to precise

Testing:
========
Mark off items in the checklist [X] as you test them, but please leave the checklist so that backporters can quickly evaluate the state of testing.

You can test-build the backport in your PPA with backportpackage:
$ backportpackage -u ppa:<lp username>/<ppa name> -s quantal -d precise irrlicht

* precise:
[X] Package builds without modification
[X] libirrlicht1.7a installs cleanly and runs
[X] libirrlicht1.7a-dbg installs cleanly and runs
[X] libirrlicht-doc installs cleanly and runs
[x] libirrlicht-dev installs cleanly and runs

Reverse dependencies:
=====================
The following reverse-dependencies need to be tested against the new version of irrlicht. For reverse-build-dependencies (-Indep), please test that the package still builds against the new irrlicht. For reverse-dependencies, please test that the version of the package currently in the release still works with the new irrlicht installed. Reverse- Recommends, Suggests, and Enhances don't need to be tested, and are listed for completeness-sake.

libirrlicht-doc

libirrlicht1.7a-dbg

libirrlicht1.7a

Note that, due to bug #888665, the backport of supertuxkart won't be able to build from this new version. :(

We can still do the backport(s) though, if you want, and supertuxkart will build when the bug gets fixed.

What do you think?

Oh, I had no idea that backported packages can't build-dep on other backports, sorry. :(

Regardless, I would still like to see a backport of irrlicht 1.7.3, not just because of a number of minor fixes/enhancements in irrlicht itself, but because previous versions of irrlicht in Ubuntu were built with debug mode on, and causing supertuxkart to issue the following warning at startup:

!!!!! Performance warning: Irrlicht compiled with debug mode.!!!!!
!!!!! This can have a significant performance impact !!!!!
