pidgin crashes on startup

Happens while connections are still being made to servers. I have a couple of jabber accounts, one google talk, one facebook and possibly one skype account enabled. I don't think I have AOL or Yahoo accounts enabled (but can't open it up to check).

Wasn't happening yesterday - was working fine (have only tried it as empathy is currently impossibly slow & eats memory - over 1G resident). Could be problem after update yesterday? Or after killing pidgin remotely last night?

Perhaps it is caused by "Pidgin-Skype" extension. Now I have changed its mode to "D-Bus" to see whether the error is repeated.

This bug does also affects me. However I uninstalled pidgin-skype and installed the newest deb from this website: http://eion.robbmob.com/ (Version 13 Jan '13) and now Pidigin works fine and have good Skype support.
