Bug Description
I tried to locate the apport program but I could not find it - no package
Kde 4.8.2 Kubuntu 12.04 LTS Plasma Desktop (I think but no package matching)
Release: 12.04
plasma-desktop:
Installed: 4:4.8.2a-0ubuntu4
Candidate: 4:4.8.2a-0ubuntu4
Version table:
*** 4:4.8.2a-0ubuntu4 0
500 http://
100 /var/lib/dpkg/statu
I checked the previous bugs, the internet and launchpad and no similar reports. It could be my fault because some of the technical terms elude me.
- Just installed
- copied ~/Desktop file from backup to populate the new folder view
- icons for apps - perfect (32)
- icons for folders - not perfect (87)
Clicking on a folder icon brings up Dolphin with the settings configured as I set them up - alphabetical [folders first, a-z]
A right click (secondary click) on a folder icon brings up the usual folder items but they are <<<not sorted>>>
I have 13 folders and all exhibit the same functionality
I deleted a folder with 8 items and rebuilt it but the same happened
The new icons seemed to lodge themselves at the bottom of the app icon list with absolutely no sorting
Something is broken
The icons should be sorted but are not
Anything else that you need please let me know
ps: I hope rebuilding is not an option - I have over 87 apps in my folders and the prospect of rebuilding them is . . .
Thank You
Hi there!
Thanks for reporting this bug! Your bug seems to be a problem with the KDE program itself, and not with our KDE packages. While we appreciate your issue, it would be better if it was tracked at https:/ /bugs.kde. org, so that the KDE developers can deal with this speedily and have direct communication with you as the reporter for more effective debugging.
Thanks!
