Pidgin starts with invisible list of buddies

In Ubuntu 11.10, the first time I open Pidgin, it starts with invisible window of buddy list. There's no way to see the buddy list! I must quit, open again, click on another window (or Desktop), finally click on the Pidgin icon to see the buddy list.

Additionally, the pop-up menu for selecting status, hides immediately when clicking on it. I must hold the mouse button to select the status.

I can see only on-line buddies, where is the off-line buddies? Is this a config or a bug?

Hey, now I'm understanding the question... and it seems that this bug is a duplicate of other bug (I marked).
