Bug Description

When setting up a new EVDO/CDMA mobile broadband connection it's great to finally have Ethiopia listed in the country list and Ethio Telecom listed as a provider under Ethiopia.

However, the whole point of the wizard is lost because the username and password required are not entered automatically. This is what happens:

1. Select Ethiopia in list of countries
2. Select Ethio Telecom in list of providers
3. The Network manager tries to connect but fails.
4. You have to click on Edit Connections and then manually enter the username and password for the new mobile broadband connection.

This is a bit irritating. The wizard should be able to connect automatically because it has been given all the necessary information.

The relevant information is listed below:

username: etc
password: etc

Thanks for all the good work,

David

We already ship the username and password for the Ethio Telecom settings, and as far as I can tell we did so prior to the Precise release. It should have been included which the package that you have installed, which leads me to wonder what might be happening with your install for it not to be used.

At the top of the bug report you mention creating a CDMA connection. That's the only place where there currently is username and password information. Maybe it's needed for GSM as well and the method used is in fact GSM?

What would help me very much in figuring out what is missing might be a screenshot of the connection window. Would you please be able to provide a screenshot showing the main window where you enter the username and password information for Ethio Telecom, so that I can see if there's something I missing with that update?

Thanks!
