Bug Description

Unable to change sound settings & configure the audio device both in 32/64 bit OS

Isolation:

Unable to change sound settings in all chief river boards (Only Ubuntu OS)

1.Unable to set the Output volume
2.Unable to configure the audio device
3.Unable to set the input/output audio settings

Note:
1.Able to set the alert sound. but it will not take any effect
2.For further reference refer the attached document for Ubuntu 11.10 32/64 bit logs
