Shows desktop changed to Ctrl+Super+D

The shortcut (windows key)+D used to show the desktop until Oneiric. It doesn't work any more on Precise.

Maybe it has been replaced by another shortcut? I understand that not all keyboards have the windows key, but on those which do have one, the shortcut must be maintained.

It has been replaced with Crtl-Alt-D. I'm not sure why. There was a bug similar to this filed a while ago, but I don't remember which.

Actually, it appears to have been replaced by "Ctrl+Super+D". I'm also no sure why.

Hold down the Super key to see the shortcut ("Minimises all windows").

I have subscribed the design team.

Design: Is there a good reason why 12.04 uses Ctrl+Super+D instead of Super+D that everyone is used to?

It's a little confusing. The code history says the combination was actually Ctrl+Alt+D in 11.10. The same is true for upstream compiz but I thought it should be Super+D too (maybe from Windows).

This is particularly annoying in conjunction with cheaper keyboards with 'ghosting' problems. Control+Super+Arrows are apparently exotic enough that I've experienced a difficulty in using the default settings. I quite liked the super+arrow setup :)

Sorry folks, but as part of the bug clean up ahead of 16.04 I'm marking this as invalid because it affects an Ubuntu release which is now unsupported. If you can still recreate this bug in a supported release please do open a new bug and we can triage it for consideration in the 16.04 development cycle.
