Bug Description
Gnome Startup Fails (However Failsafe Starts), After Upgrading From A Vanilla 8.04 Install.
It does NOT report a failed message, however, all that is seen is a totally white screen. Gnome never loads.
Hardware I am Using:
Motherboard: GA-MA78GM-S2H
Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 3200
As far as I know, there are both free drivers and proprietary drivers for this graphics card. The free drivers do not support xgl, aiglx etc. I was using the proprietary (restricted) hardware drivers upon intrepid ibex install.
A cd was not used, I used the update manager.

This is not a bug about bughelper but about the Ubuntu distribution and it is probably related to your video driver so I am assigning it to the Xorg package.
