Bug Description

At one point when going through the wizard it will ask the user to purge all grub packages... on a mint system, this will also remove grub2-theme-mint-2k (this includes the Ubuntu font that grub is using). All the next reinstallation steps will fail because the font can be found. I used the latest version that was just built... screwing with MBR on my windows drive and overwriting other working grub on other Linux on different SSD installation was not good either.

Can you still reproduce this issue?

Two issues were fixed in this package which affected package removal:

grub2-theme-mint (1.2.2) tricia; urgency=medium

  * Fix configuration purge on removal

grub2-theme-mint (1.2.1) tricia; urgency=medium

  * Don't fail postinst/postrm if grub can't be updated

Linux Mint 19.3 originally shipped with version 1.2.1. The fix in 1.2.2 came post-release.

To be honest I don't want to try again because everything is working great. I don't think I will use boot repair again, if I have issues again I will just use the cli tools. Hopefully the fix in 1.2.2 keeps the font installed.
