Bootrepair destroys USB flash drive boot record

I have Boot-Repair (and other iso's) installed on a USB3 flash drive, formatted with FBInst, using WinSetUpfromUSB. When I boot from the Boot-Repair iso, it asks me if sdb (which is an internal SSD) is removable, to which I reply no. It doesn't ask about the flash drive. If I select "automatic repair", it creates a grub-menu, and installs grub to sda, sdb, and the flash drive --- making it unbootable! So, I have to select Advanced > Grub every time.

But, it seems that the program's logic is reversed, since it always inquires whether sdb is removable, but not sdc (the flash drive). And secondly, it seems to assume we are booting from a cd-rom, which isn't writable, so the problem wouldn't occur.

At any rate, this bug severely limits the program's utility, since we have to do all the repair steps manually, once for each drive --- and that entails restarting the program, and waiting for all the housekeeping to be performed anew.

Since 2022 Boot-Repair doesn't install grub in disks without OS, so this bug should not reproduce.
