First Page not visible when other pages are much wider

When there are very wide pages in an image sequence , the first page is pushed so far to right and comes invisible.
This happens in the One pageview (mode/1up)
Resizing the browser window however triggers a resize eventhandler and centers the page as expected. (tested this behaviour in various browsers). When looking for a solution we thought we should add somewhere the function this.centerPageView();
To our surprise we found at line 1071 the commented line //this.centerPageView();
When we uncomment this line it seemes the problem is solved.
Why is this line commented and if we uncomment this line can we introduce unexpected behaviour ?
