Bug Description
(09:42:47) Shawn: I just hosed my config somehow for cogburn with the bdr. I'm not sure if it betrayed me or not
(09:43:03) Peter: hmm, that sucks
(09:43:47) Shawn: There wasn't much on it, but I'm having to nmap for its ip now
(09:43:54) Peter: dang
(09:47:53) Shawn: If a guy doesn't erase the --- at the bottom of the section that it prepares for you when you add a package that needs prereqs, I think the stuff below it is considered another yaml thing and is not parsed
(09:48:01) Shawn: I'm sure that's what happened to me
(09:48:17) Shawn: ---
(09:48:39) Shawn: new_stuff:
thing: foo
---
Rest of config
(09:49:23) Shawn: It's not a bug, I just didn't read the yaml
(10:02:02) Peter: oh yeah. That's not very friendly
(10:05:49) Shawn: Maybe inserting a
- delete_this_line
---
(10:06:18) Peter: yeah, maybe...
(10:06:36) Shawn: I won't get tricked again myself
(10:06:54) Peter: maybe we shouldn't put the --- in at all
(10:07:19) Shawn: I think it's the only way to control how it is formatted
(10:07:44) Shawn: You probably ought to remove before you parse it to send up to the server
(10:08:03) Shawn: It's a help to a guy editing it to have it in a separate section
(10:08:08) Peter: Yeah. Maybe we can look at it after we get it back from the user and refuse to upload it and send them back to the editor
(10:08:49) Shawn: Yeah, letting them try again on the same text would be nice. I hate it when a form gets mad about a value and then clears out all my info
(10:08:56) Peter: right
