Can confirm the ctrl+enter inserts a newline. 13.04
I believe that the ctrl+enter keybinding is being caught by the desktop environment to insert a newline.
Some possible solutions are to :
1)change the keybinding in blubphone to something other than ctrl+enter
2) construct a new function that calls set_text on key_depress instead of calling it inside the key_press function. This way the DE will insert a newline, then blubphone overwrites with an empty string.
attached is a proposed bugfix. To apply, rename your SmsThread.py. delete your SmsThread.pyc and download attachment to blubphone install. on my system it was /opt/extras. ubuntu. com/blubphone/ blubphone/
