BlogGTK won't start

I installed your updated version for Ubuntu 10.04 a few days ago. The install appeared to go well, without errors or hangups. This was a first-time BloGTK install, BTW; there was no old version or directory present. When I ran the program, the bouncing icon did its thing, then disappeared. The kicker panel item circular progress indicator ran for maybe 20 seconds, then stopped and the whole thing disappeared from the panel.

I tried running BloGTK from a terminal command line. Here's what the system reported:

BloGTK 2.0 is the newer version that supports 10.04. To install it, follow the instructions here: https://launchpad.net/~jayreding/+archive/ppa

Given that 1.x is not working / not being updated, any chance of getting 2.x into mainline repositories instead of relying just on PPA? PPA is fine for early adopters of course :-)
