it would be possible to add the button "Stop" to stop cleaning?

Tanks!

Yes. Until it is added, closing the window stops cleaning.

Yes, I know, but I'm not sure whether it is safe for all cleaning processes ;)

In older versions when cleaning free disk space and the user closed the window, BleachBit would continue invisible-ly. In the latest versions it should always be safe to close the window, and the stop button would work very similarly as closing the window.

In some cases it is not practical to stop in the middle of a process (such as vacuuming a single file), so BleachBit will finish that file.

I know, but imagine the typical noob: he selects all available cleaners and clicks on the "Delete" button.

Suddenly he stops and says to himself: "Damn! Shit! Hell! I had chosen to delete my dear cookies and passwords in Firefox and I doesn't remember my passwords, how the hell can I stop this? When I'll terminate the BleachBit, who knows what will happen with my data on the disk!"

Yes, we both know that nothing will happen, but who else knows this fact?

If the user will have available the STOP button, will know that this button stops the cleaning process (either to terminate the process immediately, or wait for the execution of the currently running cleaner).

Looks like this has been recommended a long time ago. This topic was recently re-opened at BleachBit forums here: http://bleachbit.sourceforge.net/forum/pausing-and-stopping-bleachbit

Is a stop button enough (instead of pause) ?

Hey Andrew. I changed the milestone to 2.0, since this is a feature request and did not have a milestone on it already.

Also, I think having both pause and stop would be useful.
