RFE: an update should detect that it is running with a configuration file prior to its installation, and offer reconfiguration

The configuration file carries a timestamp, and the ctime of a local (updatged) installation does as well

The program should detect when it is running with a potentially stale configuraiton file with a simple comparison of the two, and offer a reconfiguration

This issue is live as of version 0.60

Sorry, I don't understand. It would especially help to know what you mean by "reconfiguration"? What is the problem? What is the benefit of "reconfiguration"?

Perhaps I do understand, but please tell me whether I am right. BleachBit (since a long time ago) looks at bleachbit.ini (the configuration file) and compares the version stored there to the current version. If they differ, it turns on 'first start' mode:

If the platform is Linux, the 'first start' mode shows the preferences dialog

Interesting -- between the version 0.60 and the next, it did not do this under a Windows XP platform.. I will retest this.
