Bug Description

When using a Slackware based linux distribution BleachBit should ignore files in /var/log/packages and /var/log/scripts when deleting temporary files since these directories are part of the Slackware package management.

Files in /var/log/removed_packages and /var/log/removed_scripts can optionally be deleted since they point to already removed packages.

As a member of the Slackware team, I would prefer that /var/log/{removed_,}{packages,scripts} be left alone entirely, as none of those four directories should contain any "sensitive" information at any point. As already stated in the mailing list thread that preceded this bug report, the {packages, scripts} directories should *never* be wiped, as that effectively breaks the package manager.

Hrm, unless I'm missing something, that's not complete.
We need to exclude the following directories:
/var/log/packages
/var/log/scripts
/var/log/removed_packages
/var/log/removed_scripts

That looks good, and I've just applied that to the bleachbit build at SlackBuilds.org:

system/bleachbit: Included a patch from upstream to ignore the Slackware
package manager directories if bleachbit is run as root.
Thanks to Andrew Ziem for his quick response to this. --rworkman
