Bug Description

Andrew, you asked me re-file this here, although it is not a Bug Report, per se, but rather an added functionality I think many users would appreciate seeing in BleachBit.

The feature I would like to see added is the addition of a shred and overwrite option added to the trashcan's context menu, so that users will have the option to securely delete all files contained in their system's trash can without actually launching BleachBit, à la the application Eraser for the Windows environment.

I clarified this is for Linux because BleachBit has this feature for Windows.

I am pleased to see some movement on this suggestion. Frankly, I thought my effort in making the suggestion was wasted effort as the original reply I received suggested I hose of, to be polite about it. However, that was then and now it is today.

I am glad you are pleased.

By the way, since BleachBit version 1.17 you can now use drag and drop: drag files from your favorite Linux file manager and drop them onto BleachBit.
