Does not clean user data in Ubuntu 16.04

Ubuntu 16.04
64 bit

I used bleachbit before in Ubuntu 14.04 and it worked fine, now it runs as root and it does not cleanup user data.

Using bleachbt 1.10

This makes Bleachbit not useful, needs to be fixed quickly.

There should be two menu shortcuts: "BleachBit" and "BleachBit as Administrator."

Have you tried running just "BleachBit" to run as a normal user?

Did you install BleachBit from Ubuntu's repository or from the .deb package found at https://www.bleachbit.org ?

The package in the Ubuntu repository is different than the official package, so at least for troubleshooting purposes would you please download the other? If the official package works, this bug can be targeted to the downstream Ubuntu package

2. choose the package for the most similar distribution

Removed old, downloaded bleachbit_1.10_all_ubuntu1510.deb, installed it and I still only see the option to run as root.
Same, not deleting user data.

Same here,
Ubuntu 16.04 64 bit
installed Bleachbit from repository and only Bleachbit as root is available in Dash!
Tried also to remove it and re-install the one from https://www.bleachbit.org/download but get same result: Only Bleachbit as root is available in Dash!

Got tired of this and other bugs in 16.04 so I reverted back to 14.04 and all is working now. I don't think 16.04 is ready. I will wait for patch one and try on a VM.

I wish I could always fix all the bugs, but I am rescheduling because there are already 24 fixes ready for BleachBit version 1.12, so I do not want to delay the fixes that are ready.

I wonder whether the fix for bug #1322911 (AppData) fix this. The fix is implemented and ready for the next beta release.
