Thank you for confirming bug 1523276. It looks like the build number is being reported as "32bit" instead of something like "10.0.10041". I haven't been able to reproduce it yet on my Windows 10 system, but I will make it a priority

After some testing I was unable to reproduce this error. I tried Windows XP 32-bit, 7 64-bit, 8.1 64-bit, and 10 64-bit. I also tried compatibility modes.

Nevertheless, I committed a potential fix for testing in git commit d2326df, and I hope to soon release a build for testing this fix.

On Windows 10 I tried both portable and installed versions, but I could not get this error.

The new BleachBit 1.9.3 beta should start without this error about "invalid decimal"
http://bleachbit.sourceforge.net/news/bleachbit-193-beta

Let me know how it goes.

Also, I am curious if in BleachBit 1.9.3 you could click Help - System Information, look for the line "platform.version," copy it, and paste it here. Normally it looks like "10.0.10240" and should not contain "32bit"

Hello,

The line :

platform.win32_ver[1]() = 6.2.9200
platform.platform = Windows-32bit
platform.version = 32bit

and it works.

Thank you for testing. An underlying system is apparently reporting the wrong format for platform.version, but because it works shows I found an effective working. I consider this fixed.

Ok, just for information i'm in windows 10 64 bits, version 10586 not 10240.

By cons I still have the bug with Office Starter 2010 (error in same_partition(C:\Users\PROPRIETAIRE\AppData\Local\Temp, Q:\) when I run the software without administrator rights.

The build number 10586 is OK too.

I will make a note in 1474848 that you still have it with version 1.9.3 beta.

I test 1.9.3 on windows 8.1 - 64 bits and windows 7 - 64 bits and windows 10 - 64 bits.

The closure of the software, I get all the time the error of "Office Starter " (error in same_partition(C:\Users\PROPRIETAIRE\AppData\Local\Temp, Q:\))

In fact great software and delighted to contribute to the development of new versions, always ready to test.

By cons know that I only use portable versions.

Goodbye and good end of year celebrations.
