I noticed when setting the preferences to; 'Overwrite files to hide content' then picking Shred to shred a folder, Bleachbit in Windows 7, as it started, it would repeat several times durning the shred, showing in the window title bar; '(Not Responding)'
If Bleachbit is performing correctly doing it's shred, then it should not be displaying 'Not Responding' in the window titlebar.
It also seemed to create an error in the bleachbit.exe.log;
