Bleachbit always gives Errno 13 root/tmp

I am running the latest Bleachbit as root on Ubuntu 12.04 with Cinnamon and consistently get the above error with tmp followed by a lengthy string of characters. Additionally, now I am also unable to use my mail.com account because of a persistent unresponsive script. Waiting and stopping script do not help. Can anyone suggest solutions to these two issues?

What is the string of characters? Please copy the whole error message and path verbatim. The script is most likely unrelated, but you can try rebooting.

I have run synaptic reload and update, computer janitor and rebooted several times with no effect to get rid of this error. If you have any further suggestions regarding this error code or the email unresponsive script problem, please contact me at your convenience.

Do know which cleaner is triggering this error? This path does not look like one that BleachBit normally cleans.

Bleachbit is the only thing running when I get this error. It is set to overwrite free space on /home/"user", /tmp and /root. Received the same error message again today after running Bleachbit as administrator.

Any suggestions are welcome.

This file may be created by "overwrite free disk space" option. You can try not using it.

Also in the next BleachBit release, coming soon, the overwrite feature was largely rewritten and may solve this problem.

I attempted to solve the problem by upgrading from 12.04 to 12.10. Unfortunately, the system won't allow me to upgrade either.
