Bug Description

Once a Split is enacted a new page is built (tab at top of window). I feel it would be very beneficial to make the newly formed 'Split' page tabs labelled to represent the name of the split for ease of navigation.
At present Split pages are labelled identically which is confusing.

Also, the split pages should keep the Preferences of their parent page. E.G. If initial page has Club details set to view then the subsequent split page should be showing Club details without the need to reset Preferences.

Hello,

I agree with you that the label of the split page may be confusing. I'm going to draw up a solution to fix it.

Regarding now your second request, I have questions:
From my point of view, the Preferences are duplicated from the original competition to the derived competition. Am I wrong, or do I misunderstand your bug report?
What do you exactly mean by "Club detail"?

Hi Yannick, let me first congratulate you on a fantastic piece of software.
Keep it up!
I am strongly urging my state fencing body to start utilising it.

Regarding the second request; I think I was mistaken with how I believed
the software was functioning. I just started it up to try and replicate the
problem and could not find what I thought the issue was - please disregard
that part of the report. (Do I need to amend the bug report? I'm new to
launchpad).

Finally, your use of the hen for your splash page is quite hilarious!

Sincerely,
dov.

Hi Dove,

Ok, it's clear now for me.
Your first request is still relevant, so no need to amend the bug report.

The hen comes from the "pool" term. When it crossed the channel long time ago, the French translated it phonetically into "poule" which mean hen too ;-)
