Bug Description

setup.py installs bs4/doc directory as /usr/lib/pythonX.Y/site-packages/bs4/doc, but it shouldn't. This directory should be moved to top-level directory to avoid installation. site-packages is for Python modules, not Makefile, images etc.

Can you recommend a solution that will solve both this bug and https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/beautifulsoup/+bug/478932? I'm not skilled at distutils and putting the doc/ directory in the source was the only way I could get setup.py to include it.

Sources of documentation shouldn't be installed. Building of documentation requires Sphinx. Building of documentation should occur only after user has explicitly requested it (e.g. using `make html`). Different operating systems / distributions have different policies about where HTML documentation should be installed.

By listing the doc/ directory in MANIFEST.in instead of setup.py, I was able to get the documentation included in the tarball without making setup.py install it.
