Can't select multiple songs in multi-column selection view

Bug Description

In the multi-column selection view, ie. the right-most view option, I can neither Ctrl+A,nor click + Shift, Ctrl + click or even use arrows. Basically I can't select more than one song at a time.

by multi-column view, do you mean the miller columns?

This is probably the effect of moving focus to the search bar on key press in the view.

Yeah, on Dexter I only shift focus if they key pressed is alnum.

By multi-column view I mean the right-most view option. The UI doesn't give it a name.

well, i made only alnum key presses go to search now, but you won't be able to select multiple genres/artists/albums in the miller columns.
