Bug Description
When I set up my postgres database for doing GIS stuff, and connected GRASS to it, there was a process where postgis?? or other bits were used to add a couple of tables to the database. I hope to make the bauble database accessible to GRASS too, do you have any experience (or any gut feelings) in regards to me doing this - would the bauble database get mucked up by having such tables added? From recollection, when I set up my GIS database, i did the aforementioned steps early on, probably before I had added any other tables etc.

assigning it to myself so I remember I want to have a look at it.
reading the title, I thought it was about being able to add geographic information to planting, accession, taxon (like where is the plant located, where does the accession come from, what is the natural distribution of the taxon)
(and I'm definitely interested in adding geographic information to planting and garden locations),
but then the description of the bug is more concerned with non disrupting the database.
