ability to create external references to objects

Bug Description
It would be nice if we could cross reference anything in the database with a literary reference or URL for further information. For example we could reference taxonomic or culture information to a species or taxonomic references to a synonym of a plant name.
The other option is just to use the notes column that most object already have.
