Bug Description

Hi. I moved the Basenji folder and now all thumbnails (including the Basenji ones, like 'Add volume' button image) has disappear. All of the images was replaced by a red X. What can I do to solve this problem?

I'm using Windows XP.

Thank you.

Hi,

icons are located in the "Data" folder so make sure this folder is located in the same folder that contains the Basenji executable .
On windows thumbnails are stored in the users application data folder (somewhere in C:\Documents and Settings\"User Name"\). If you move Basenji to a different computer, this folder must be copied as well.

Please let me know if the problem still persists.

No, it's in the same computer. And I moved the "Basenji" folder. I never removed or moved any file from there.

Please check if you have the folders 16, 24, 48 in data\themes\Tango and check if these folders contain icons.
Please also remove and re-install gtk# (the installer bundled with the download).

Yes, I have that folders and all of them contains .png images.
I also tried to remove and re-install gtk# but it didn't solve the problem.

But Basenji works fine, so I don't bother you more with this. My computer is very old, and the problem may be caused by that.

Did you try to extract the original basenji archive and run the program from there? Is the new location on a network share or does the path contain exotic letters?

Sorry for the delay. Yes, the path for Basenji folder contains "exotic letters": 'ç' and 'õ'...

Ok, the problem is that windows paths are in Windows-1252 char encoding and GTK uses UTF-8 char encoding. I'm not sure how to fix this yet but in the meantime you can make sure that your path to Basenji contains ascii characters only.
