color or other method to mark files and folders

I have a feature request. On one DVD I have different miexed things, some articles, photos etc. When I find an item in my calletion unwanted anymore (because for example I already watched the movie or something became unimportant) while on the same DVD there are other items that are still important I would like to be able to mark an unwanted item. When after a certain time all items will be marked as unwanted I will throw DVD away.
I propose to add ability to mark item (file or folder with content it contains) with color or cross off (as in txt formating).

... As in text formating (like one of the options of text formating in Libre Office Writer where there are options to bold, underline, cross out).
