Have you tried to remove (or backup) your ".config/banshee-1" and ".cache/banshee-1" directories and then check if banshee works?

This bug has not repeated and I do not know how to reproduce it. If no none else is effected then it can be closed.

It would be nice to find out why the exception was thrown. The code could do with a larger try block so a/more informative error can be given to the user instead of a 'frozen' GUI tho.

I have linked both reports to have a record of this issue in launchpad so we can have an eye into this problem.
