Bug Description

I'm trying to get bamf packaged for Archlinux, which has a strict policy about filesystem standards:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Filesystem_Hierarchy_Standard

/usr/share/applications is not a place for storing caches, /var/cache is.

I've been hacking at src/bamf-matcher.c all day, trying to add /var/cache/bamf to the list of directories searched but everything I do leads to a segfault.

How can I add a directory to the list that bamf is searching without causing a segfault?

This wasn't the problem I thought it was.

I was using an outdated copy of the perl script to update bamf-2.index and also installing it with the wrong permissions.

Changed in bamf:
