Bug Description

Bamboo-Zen theme (at least) malfunctions. For example if the toolbar transparency is adjusted only some parts of the toolbar becomes transparent. The clock applet and the menubar applet (maybe more than these) remain solid.

If someone customizes the Bamboo-Zen theme so that the "Controls" (Change Desktop Background-->Themes-->Customize-->Tab: Controls) is changed to e.g. "Human-Clearlooks" so that transparency is achieved for the hole toolbar, then some tray icons of the toolbar (gnome-panel) appeared with gray outline (meaning solid).

I have seen this bug discussed elsewhere as well.

issue 1: (image 1: pure theme): I confirme this bug. pidgin icons doesn't use transparency. But i have the same probleme with the following theme: Human, Human-clearlooks. Same things for you?

issue 2: (image 2): It's normal, it's not a bug in themes. The following themes use an image for panel background: aquadreams, balanzan, ellanna, exotic, infinity, orange, showtime, sunrise, tropical, wild shine. So you can't have transparency on panel applets. In this case, applets always use panel image as background.

issue 1: problem occurs not only with Human and Human-clearlooks but, at least, with the following themes as well: aquadreams, balanzan, ellanna, exotic, infinity, new wave, new wave dark menus, orange, showtime, tropical, ubuntu sunrise, wild-shine

ok i made a mistake:
issue 1 is for image 2: bamboo-zen grey background on some icons (skype and pidgin in your screenshot)
issue 2 is for image 1: panel background for aquadreams, balanzan, ellanna, exotic, infinity, new wave, new wave dark menus, orange, showtime, tropical, ubuntu sunrise, wild-shine

so in post #4 it sould be
issue 1 (image 2): I confirme this bug. pidgin icons background doesn't use transparency. But i have the same probleme with the following theme: Human, Human-clearlooks.

issue 2 (image 1) :It's normal, it's not a bug in themes. The following themes use an image for panel background: aquadreams, balanzan, ellanna, exotic, infinity, orange, showtime, sunrise, tropical, wild shine. So you can't have transparency on panel applets. In this case, applets always use panel image as background.
