Oxine's interface is very slow

Oxine's interface is very slow - I should wait about 1-2 seconds when go up/down in buttons from main menu.

I have an AMD-K6 II 450 Mhz CPU and e.g. (g)mplayer or xine-ui works perfectly on the same computer.

I have the same issue - Xorg appears to be hogging the CPU.

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10 alpha?
