Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-network

After helping several Ubuntu 7.04 users complaining of wireless trouble, I discovered that they were intuitively going to System->Administration->Network and using network-admin, rather than using the Network Manager applet in the notification area.

The proper place to go to associate to a wireless network should be clear.

Hi there
do you still experience this issue with the current version of the application?, could you please try to reproduce this using the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Hardy Heron.

Thanks in advance

Ah, this bug is actually resolved.

The Network Admin program now contains a "Roaming Mode" checkbox, which indicates that the user can use the applet to associate to networks on demand.

This is fixed, as network-admin is not on the default install anymore
