Some printers need a recent version of hplip. For exemple HP F4280 needs hplip 2.8.5 minimum. In Hardy (LTS) only 2.8.2 version is available, and users of Hardy (LTS) who have this printer must install hplip 2.8.5 manually. Please backport a more recent version to Hardy.

It looks like this bug requests a backport from Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty Jackalope). However, as Jaunty is no longer supported, such a backport is no longer possible.

This bug is being set to "Won't Fix". If you would still like to move forward with this backport request, please re-open the bug and adjust it to request a backport from a current release.
