Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

Changed default keyboard layout to Dvorak, but I can't set this layout as default for all users in Ubuntu 12.04 and 11.10 :(
In previous Ubuntu versions I could set keyboard layuot system wide by pressing 'Apply System-Wide' button in control-center

DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04
SourcePackage: gnome-control-center

Also, in 11.04 (Gnome, classic no effects) assigning caps lock only to switch between DK and US keyboard layout works only if you wait about 500-1000 ms after pressing the caps lock key.

In 10.10 this switch of layout was instant. Seems to be instant if shortcut key is e.g. alt + caps lock.

peterbo, best if you file a separate bug for that since it is really a different issue

Sebastien Bacher, this was supported in previous versions so I guess is a regression?

Call it that if you want, it doesn't change the fact that GNOME3 dropped this option and lot of other ones
