We've just released version 0.8.1 "Fo Bar" which includes some minor bugfixes and a few improvements (See http://www.flumotion.net/releases/flumotion/0.8.1.html)

Packages for the latest ubuntu releases are available in our ppa (ppa:flumotion-dev/flumotion) as usual.

Is there any way to get flumotion updated in ubuntu's repositories? 0.6.1 is quite old and has some problems with latest python versions. If there is anything we can do to speed things up, just ask.

Checking the QA page listing Loïc Minier as the Flumotion packages maintainer in Debian. Good to know I just added him to this bug, so he know now. Maybe Loïc is able to help you explaining the steps to complete. In general if packages are updated in the Debian sources first they will automatically flew over into Ubuntu releases.

Approved by the release team for late sync:

<ScottK> Laney: Since I know you're out there uploading stuff: What would you think about me syncing flumotion. Looking at the RC bug fix it would bring (doesn't start) and the long list of Ubuntu bugs with the current package, it would seem unlikely to make things worse.
<Laney> ScottK: if it tests out, go for it
<ScottK> It builds.
<ScottK> I'll take that as a yes.
<Laney> I'd like it to at least have been run, but yes.
<ScottK> OK.
<ScottK> starts
