Bug Description

It would be very much appreciated among the thousands/millions of Ubuntu Users, if Inkscape would also be offered for binary downloads for the current Ubuntu (Linux) release.

Compile it once at Inkscape HQ and thousands/millions can download and install it as a .deb (debian) package.

Thank you very much !

Kind regards

You know there's already an Ubuntu package available from Universe, right?

Would you be happy with a link from the Inkscape website to the latest Debian/Ubuntu packages, or do you want the package maintenance to be performed by upstream developers?
