Bug Description
The Inkscape entry in the GNOME Applications menu is titled 'Inkscape SVG Vector
Illustrator'. 'SVG' and 'Vector' are technical terms, and some users are
unlikely to associate them with a drawing/
usability issue. The tooltip also uses the term 'SVG'. These strings should be
changed to remove the jargon.
This is also an issue with translated strings in the Inkscape .desktop file.

The GNOME HIG 2.0 offers advice on menu entry names with jargon:

I propose 'Inkscape SVG Vector Illustrator' -> 'Inkscape Illustrator'
