When backing up large amounts of data, the program can run for quite a while. It would therefore be practical if the software had the possibility to shut down the computer, after it is finished. This way, one can start the backup in the morning before leaving the house or at the evening before going to bed and Back In Time will do the rest, so the computer does not run all day/night but only as long as it has to.
Download Managers (like KGet) commonly have such a feature to shut down the computer after a long download is finished.
It would be best to have a button in the GUI to easily switch this functionality on and off, even while the backup is running. If a backup takes longer then expected and is still running when one gets back home, one doesn't want the computer to be turned off, when the update is finished.
Is there a workaround for this until the feature is implemented? I mean for commandline scripts for example you could simply do a `mybackupscript.sh; sudo shutdown -h now`
