Bug Description
I have started a bazaar branch for my usability/HIG fixes: lp:~kiddo/backintime/usability
It fixes Bug #686695 and Bug #686711, among other improvements.
I could also fix bug #686706 if you agree with my rationale.
I could also do some more serious UI cleanup of the settings dialog; I would like to:
- kill the "Global options" ("GUI options") tab (by fixing bug #686706), unless you plan to add other global options
- merge the contents of the "Options" into the first tab ("General") and into the "Advanced" tab.
I'd also like to know what is the reason for the existence of this "frame5" widget in mainwindow.glade; I don't think it's possible to show multiple snapshots at once, so is it there? Seems redundant with other widgets indicating the currently selected snapshot.
Cheers!

I agree that there seeme to be too much tabs.
In the future global tab should alow you to select destination like: local, ssh, ssh + rsync, samba ...
