still the same on feisty daily build 20070409.1 . azureus works for an hour and then crashes.

with the version downloaded from their website, this doesn't happen at all. so it's probably a problem of the azureus package in ubuntu.

okay, now azureus crashes only seconds after the start. deleting the .azureus directory in my ~ helps for a while, but then it starts again.

i've got the same problem on another machine, edgy i386.

using the version of azureus from azureus.sourceforge.net solves the problem here as well.

still the same on feisty final, amd64. azureus has been working for a couple of days and now crashes instantly after start with

[1]+ Segmentation fault (core dumped) azureus

the azureus package in ubuntu seems to be broken, this problem has also been reported several times in the forums, see http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=413192&highlight=azureus+segmentation
they also recommend to install the version of azureus from the azureus-website.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

So I think it is me, you wanted to send the email to? Unfortunately, I am behind a restrictive firewall now and can't use bittorrent any more. Also, my only installation is Hardy now and that might not be too representative.?
