This cannot be fixed in Ubuntu-mono.

Azureus , included its own icon /org/gudy/azureus2/ui/icons/a16.png

This cannot be over-ridden by an icon theme. Needs to be provided by the app itself

I don't think this is a bug. I don't think the work of developers is to set an icon for each existing them in users desktops. But, anyway, you can edit and create your own icon following this instructions: http://wiki.vuze.com/w/Change_Notification_Area_Icon
