Bug Description
Feature request:
Tooltips for indicators give a quick way to get information from indicators that would otherwise clutter the panel - for example the time and weather, network, tm, load etc applets in previous desktops. This functionality now requires, at minimum, that the user click the indicator to pull up a menu that either displays the information (breaking the menu metaphor) or to select an item that will display the information.

Thank you for reporting this bug to make Ubuntu better. Before this can be worked on by the developers it first requires a confirmation from the design team. Hence marking incomplete.
