Using "Dash Home" on the sidebar and then going to the symbol of a pile of things (the one to the right of the symbol of a house), it does not return to where I was when I reopen it.

Thank you for reporting this bug to make ubuntu better. I am marking it incomplete since it awaits input from the design team. This is standard protocol. Rest assured it will be looked into.

emarkay, I see in the bug description that you have raised two questions, the first being the dash unable to remember the settings, and second the dash closing upon first action. Please try to raise only one question per bug report. This way the progress can be individually tracked. I am hence removing it from the current bug report to match the bug report title.

If I turn off "apps available for download" for example, or I leave the "filter results" open in a particular lens, it doesn't remember these settings on a subsequent login. This is really annoying.

I can confirm this to be annoying. Will there be any change in 12.10 made by the design team?
