Bug Description

unity 5.8.0-0ubuntu2, Ubuntu Pangolin

1. Add an application to the launcher that has a square, maximum-sized icon. For example, guake, gpicview, screenruler, extcalc, recoll, or Treasure Catch.
2. Click on the launcher tile.

What you see: The launching feedback is almost impossible to see.

What you should see: Launcher feedback is very easy to see.

The simplest way to fix this would be to throb the application icon, as well as (or instead of) its background.

Another way to fix it would be to animate launching applications in a different way.

It may save time to design the fix for bug 838050 at the same time as this bug.

Indeed. I'm adding it to the design radar to request how the visual treatment could be updated to resolve the problem. Thanks Matthew.
