Bug Description

I use the mouse left handed. When I do something that pops up a dialogue, say telling the computer to shut down from the login screen, the buttons on the dialogue don't respond to the primary mouse button (the right one in this case.) I think the menus to bring up that dialogue are ambidextrous (well, I didn't get button confusion bringing it up, anyway.)

summary: - lightdm should work with both left and right handed mouse
+ Unable to configure left handed mouse

Not sure that should be a configuration, you only need to click on the greeter, the old gdm (pre rewrite), was just reacting to both left and right click the same way to avoid those issues

It doesn't make a lot of sense to be a configuration really, you don't know if the person who sat down at the computer just now is right or left handed anyway.

Oh, that's clever. I'd never noticed it did that. I've opened a design task on this to see what they think.

@robert-ancell; let's briefly discuss this bug when we meet at UDS in two weeks time.

Currently it's possible to click most buttons in unity-greeter using either the left or right mouse button. But some still accept only a left click:

- the buttons in the shutdown dialog (as noted above)
- the button that lets you select a login session (e.g. either GNOME or Ubuntu)

no longer affects: unity-greeter
