Color shaded icon rects cause confusion during alt-tab

When using alt-tab to switch applications in unity, one of my open windows has an icon that is mostly yellow, while the others mostly average to grey or orange in the case of firefox.

When quickly switching between applications, I frequently mix up this yellow color shaded rectangle around the icon as the selected item (the yellow shaded rect looks like a highlighted item). While the color shading is helpful in the side panel, It seems the color shaded rectangles should be consistent across all icons, instead of icon specific, at least for the alt-tab behavior.

I know its minor, but its something that causes frequent frustration when using unity.

Please can you attach some screenshots of the problem you face.. Understanding this type of bugs require visuals :)

Unfortunately the printscreen function to take a screen shot doesn't work mid-alt-tab. So here is a phone photo.

If you give this image only a very fast glance, you could easily confuse the vpn tool (yellow globe) as being selected, when the terminal is actually the active selection.

With that set of icons, I understand how it can get irritating. Marking as a design bug.

Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported and is a duplicate of bug 857627, so is being marked as such. Any further discussion regarding the bug should occur in the other report. Feel free to report any other bugs you may find.
