2011-10-03 09:01:15 John Lea description The "Desktop" placeholder menubar that appears on Unity when no window is focused is currently "[ubuntu roundal] Desktop". The use of the 'ubuntu roundal' is problematic because it is an inactive element that looks almost identical to the BFB button which was present in Natty. Desired solution: - When no window is in focus (e.g. after logging in or after closing all windows), the word "Ubuntu Desktop" should be displayed in the top left of the Top Bar. - There are no window controls ("Buttons") associated with the desktop, so mousing into the top left of the panel should continue to display "Ubuntu Desktop" - The special version of the Nautilus menu for the desktop should be used when the pointer is over the panel (menu defined in a separate bug) The "Desktop" placeholder menubar that appears on Unity when no window is focused is currently "[ubuntu roundal] Desktop".
