Now that the window controls (close,min,max) are hidden when an application is maximized, it becomes more important to improve discoverability. It makes sense in other ways too. When you move the mouse to the indicators, you are looking to expose menus. They should all be shown, consistent with using the keyboard navigation, which lets you move from indicators to the application menubar. |
